Very simple to build Voltmeter project with Arduino. In this project, you need Nokia 5110 LCD module and Voltage Sensor. You can measure battery current keep in mind that the voltage sensor only handles 0-25 voltages.
How to Make Arduino Voltmeter:
In this project, we need a 2pin volt sensor, one LCD for output result and an Arduino Mega or Uno. Making of the voltmeter is very easy and reliable for checking your cells and batteries voltage. You can only check DC voltage. The code for this project is very simple. You can change as you need in coding. This volt sensor consists only two resistors you can easily DIY you own if you want.
Things You may Need:
- Arduino Mega 2560 (6$)
- Volt sensor (1$)
- Nokia 5110 LCD Module (4$ max)
- Breadboard with wires (4$)
- 5V adapter
You can easily find all things online at very low prices as I mention above with item list. You can also do this project for your college and school project at the beginner stage.
Now you need to connect all the things with each other. Follow below step by step guide.
The wiring of Arduino Voltmeter is very simple. First of all, connect LCD Module with Arduino here is the complete guide how to use Nokia 5510 LCD with Arduino.
Connect Volt sensor Pin=S to Arduino A0, Pin=– to GND and leave positive pin of the sensor. For measuring, voltage connect another side +,- sign pin to battery or cell
Step 2(Install Library):
You need to install the library for LCD module for the full guide about it must read my previous Article from here.
Step 3(upload code):
Now the final step is to upload the code to your Arduino board. Download the code from here.
After all above steps, you have to power on your Arduino and check your battery voltages with your hand made voltmeter 🙂

Warning: Arduino volt sensor only can measure 0 to 25v DC. If you use High voltage, you will lose your Arduino.
